Cody Garbrandt threatens to beat Dominick Cruz’s ass for picking Urijah Faber over ‘No Love’

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight prospect Cody Garbrandt is the talk of the mixed martial arts (MMA) town after clobbering Thomas Almeida at UFC Fight Night 88 — while keeping his perfect record intact — last weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada (watch it).

But he still loses to top contenders like Urijah Faber, according to reigning 135-pound kingpin Dominick Cruz.

“Faber’s the type of guy that if you match him up with anyone in the top five, he’s still up there, he’ll still compete with them,” Cruz told MMA Fighting. “I think he beats his boy Cody ‘No Love,’ and I think he beats a couple other guys in this division, in the top five, the top 10.”

Garbrandt got wind of those comments on Twitter and not surprisingly, the shit hit the fan.

You’re trying to get @UrijahFaber to fight me cause your to scared to fight me @DominickCruz what kind of champion is that?

Get in line.

Cruz will settle his longstanding score — and put his 135-pound title on the line — against Faber in the UFC 199: “Rockhold vs. Bisping 2” pay-per-view (PPV) bantamweight co-main event this Saturday night (June 4, 2016) inside The Forum in Los Angeles, California.

As for Garbrandt? I hear this guy needs a fight.
