Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) — much like it did for the UFC 199 pay-per-view (PPV) event earlier this month in California and UFC Fight Night 89 in Canada — will allow its fighters to weigh in earlier in the day rather than march them out in front of the cameras later that afternoon for all events taking place during International Fight Week.

According to FOX Sports, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) adopted the early weigh-in policy for UFC Fight Night 90 (Thurs., July 7, 2016), The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 23 Finale (Fri., July 8) and UFC 200, which caps off the week on Saturday, July 9, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Many fighters have applauded and prefer the earlier weigh in times, as it reduces the length of dehydration in fighters cutting to make weight. But don’t fret, the weigh in show will go on as usual later in the day.

UFC Fight Night 90 will see lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos defend his belt against Eddie Alvarez, while the TUF 23 Finale pits women’s strawweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, against Claudia Gadelha.

UFC 200 will feature a stacked night of fights, as Daniel Cormier defends his light heavyweight strap against Jon Jones, Brock Lesnar returns to face Mark Hunt, Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar vie for the interim featherweight title and Miesha Tate defends her women’s bantamweight belt against Amanda Nunes.
