MONTREAL – For now, Efrain Escudero remains the only homegrown winner of “The Ultimate Fighter” no longer employed by the UFC.
And while the loser of a UFC 124 bout between season six winner Mac
Danzig and season two champ Joe Stevenson seemed likely to become the
second, UFC president Dana White said “Daddy” may be granted a reprieve.
After all, even with the pending UFC-WEC merger just days away, White
can’t resist hanging on to a fighter willing to throw caution to the
wind.
