White confirms Nogueira vs. Velasquez winner could get first crack at Lesnar

The main event of this weekend’s “UFC 110: Nogueira vs. Velasquez” card is
based on a great storyline of “young buck meets grizzled veteran.”

But at today’s pre-event press conference in Sydney, Australia, UFC
president Dana White confirmed what many MMA observers had already
suspected: an immediate title shot might hinge on the bout as well.

Despite an upcoming interim heavyweight title fight between top
contenders Shane Carwin and Frank Mir at UFC 111 in March, White acknowledged that the
winner of the featured contest between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and
Cain Velasquez at UFC 110 might be next for returning UFC heavyweight champ Brock
Lesnar.
