Three titles fights will banner the UFC’s first event in New York City after 20 years.
On November 12th, the UFC will be holding its first event in New York City, after the 20-year ban on mixed martial arts was lifted from the state last April. Said card is easily claimed as the best that the company has ever put up.
The first title on the line would be Joanna J?drzejczyk’s strawweight strap, as she defends it for the fourth time against fellow Polish striker Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Next up would be Tyron Woodley’s maiden title defense, when he takes on Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.
The event will then be headlined by a lightweight title fight between champion Eddie Alvarez and undisputed featherweight champion Conor McGregor. “The Notorious” will be gunning for a historic run to possibly become the first fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold two title belts.
