UFC 205 ‘Mac Life,’ Ep. 6: Conor McGregor blasts critics who say he’s all talk

When Conor McGregor isn’t shopping around Ireland for the finest suits, “Notorious” is sharpening his skills ahead of his upcoming lightweight title fight against Eddie Alvarez, which is set to go down at UFC 205 on Nov. 12, 2016 in New York City.

And in the most recent episode of “The Mac Life,” Conor and teammate Artem Lobov engage in a semi-hard sparring session before the fiery Irishman unloads on all of his colleagues who say he’s all talk by reminding them he’s the one putting in the work to back up his words.

“After this I’m going to be struggling to find who is next. Really. Who the fuck is next? Who has gone out there back-to-back-to-back, putting it all on the line and continue to show up? They all say I’m all talk. I look at them and say they’re all talk. Because I’m the one in here fighting every week. I only had a five-round war against a guy three times the size of me and now I’m back again. All I hear is complaining, bitching and moaning. You want this money, you want what I got, you’ve got to put in the fucking work. As far as I’m seeing, nobody’s putting in the work. Everyone’s talking. Everyone’s thinking ‘just cause Conor has it, I should have it.’ No, no I didn’t always have it, there’s a reason why I have it. I had to work my fucking bullocks off to get it. Here I am, still working, while they’re talking.”

Conor’s title fight against Alvarez will be his fourth bout in 11 months, including two title bouts and his memorable pair of showdowns against Nate Diaz. It’s that very work ethic that has not only earned him boatloads of cash, but the respect of company president Dana White.

But with constant work on his plate, it’s led many to believe that his huge announcement he intends to share after his 155-pound title fight will indeed be revealing he plans to take an extended break from the fight game

We shall see.
