Report: UFC eyes London return in March, which is just fine with heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic

Not long after holding its UFC 204: “Bisping vs. Henderson 2” pay-per-view (PPV) event in Manchester, England, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is already planning its next trip across the pond.

That’s according to Independent.co.uk, which has the world’s preeminent mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion targeting O2 Arena in London, England, for sometime in March 2017.

Which just so happens to be when reining heavyweight titleholder Stipe Miocic expects to make his 265-pound return.

“I’m hoping to return in March,” Miocic told James Edwards. “Sometime early on in 2017 or maybe early Spring. I hate flying and I hate traveling, but if they want me to fight in the UK then I’d love to the fight in the UK.”

Miocic (16-2) won the strap from Fabricio Werdum at UFC 198 back in May, then made his first title defense with a thrilling knockout victory over Alistair Overeem at UFC 203 just a few months back.

Expect him to next face the winner of this fight.
