Midnight Mania! Jon Jones claims Cialis ‘puts twist’ on his big dick

Bringing you the weird and the wild from the world of MMA each and every night …

Welcome to Midnight Mania, the place to be late at night when you are all alone and need that mixed martial arts (MMA) fix. Jon Jones went on “Joe Rogan Experience” today and it was quite the chat. One in which “Bones” coins the new catchphrase for Cialis:

Here’s the full episode. It’s quite the … experience. (I’ll show myself out).

Jones fights … well … grapples … Dan Henderson at “Submission Underground” on Dec. 11, 2016, in Portland, Ore., on FloSports.com. Just another interesting thing Jones mentioned before we move on:

Interesting take on sparring from Bones. Basically less is more. Wonder what percentage of fighters subscribe to this. Sounds safer.

— FrontRowBrian (@FrontRowBrian) December 1, 2016

@FrontRowBrian not enough. I would say about 30% in the ufc of the fighters I speak with (which is near 80-85% by now)

— Brian Stann (@BrianStann) December 1, 2016

Brian Stann would know about wars, inside the cage … and in real life. Oh, and while we are on Joe Rogan …

Bobs And Weaves

“Enter the Dojo” is a YouTube series that, first of all, is hilarious. And, second of all, is shot in Albuquerque, N.M., and thus often features famous fighters from Jackson/Winklejohn. This episode features Gracie Jiu-Jitsu black belt Javier Vasquez:

Missed The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 24? Well, so did I, but this season was apparently amazing with inter-cultural exchanges and top-quality fights. Here’s an example of what we missed out on:

Heavy Hands:

Here’s the thoughts of several on the newly-announced MMAAA:

Conor McGregor Is … ERRYWHERE

In case you haven’t already heard about it ad nauseam, McGregor got his boxing license from California (Nevada won’t make a decision until he saddles up). However, there are still several barriers to McGregor competing in that ever-rumored boxing match with pound-for-pound great — and retired legend — Floyd Mayweather.

This is the clause Conor McGregor is either openly challenging or suggesting he’ll challenge in his UFC contract: pic.twitter.com/T6AaHhpRpE

— Luke Thomas (@SBNLukeThomas) December 1, 2016

He’s also not exactly a favorite with the oddsmakers this time:

… I can’t say that I blame them.

Oh, and here’s a handy guide to how he lost his belt last weekend:

Dana White is now saying giving up the belt was Conor’s decision.

Sure, Dana. Sure.

Slips And Rips

Iain Kidd continues his excellent work documenting USADA’s suspect handling of Lyoto Machida’s suspension.

A reminder that USADA’s UFC anti-doping policy specifically forbids athletes & others from proving a prohibited substance is misclassified.

— Iain Kidd (@iainkidd) December 1, 2016

Get your ‘ish together, USADA.

If you are a fan of Nick Diaz, a photographer wrote about meeting him and he’s as real as he’s cracked up to be. It’s well written, and very relatable. What fan hasn’t dreamed of meeting their favorite fighter?

Oh, and Anthony Pettis got his car jacked AGAIN.

Wow. Maybe move to a better neighborhood … or put that double-door garage to use? I know that’s your hood, but c’mon.

Christmas Is Coming! Christmas Is Coming!

Getting in that Holiday spirit? My girlfriend and I just put up our Christmas tree, decorated it, and listened to DMX singing Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer.

Amazing.

John Dodson is getting into a holiday flow, too:

Breakdowns:

If you are anything like me (probably at least three of you) you enjoy a great technical breakdown. MMA Mania’s own Andrew Richardson, aspiring professional fighter out of Team Alpha Male, broke down the skills of Tim Elliott here, and the fantastic scrap between Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo here.

Here’s another well-done technical preview from Dan Tom, MMAnalyst. Dr. Patrick Wyman previewed the entire TUF card this weekend as well.

Trolling Treasure:

Tonya Evinger, the reinstated Invicta FC women’s Bantamweight champion, has an Instagram game that is absolute fire. Her recent loss, where the referee did her no favors by verbally stopping her from employing a perfectly-legal armbar defense that involved stepping on her opponent’s face, was turned into a “No Contest.” That means she keeps her belt, something not everyone was happy about. Did she care?

I don’t think she cared.

This fake MMAAA account is gold:

On behalf of our fighters, we would like to say fuck that bald headed prick @danawhite

— MMAAA (@MMAAAofficial) November 30, 2016

Declaring a fighter a loser helps the UFC while hurting the careers of fighters. We will push to have every fight be declared a draw.

— MMAAA (@MMAAAofficial) December 1, 2016

For too long fighters have hurt each other for the entertainment of the UFC elite. We’ll push to rid the sport of fighter on fighter violence

— MMAAA (@MMAAAofficial) December 1, 2016

Trolling at its finest.

Quick Hits:

  • While in that conversation with Rogan, Jones also admitted to getting black-out drunk the week before his fights. He used it as a built-in excuse in case he ever lost. Which … he never did. Imagine if he never packed a pre-fight parachute?
  • Donald Cerrone’s “eye injury” is gruesome. What’s that? Of course he’s still fighting Matt Brown.

Stay woke, Maniacs.
