Who’s the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world: Conor McGregor or Demetrious Johnson?

After picking up his ninth straight consecutive title defense against Tim Elliott at last night’s (Sat., Dec. 3, 2016) Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 24 Finale in Las Vegas, Nevada (see it again here), Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson further cemented his status as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Not that he cares.

But, with Conor McGregor — who became the promotion’s first and only dual champion by holding the Featherweight and Lightweight title at the same time before being stripped of the 145-pound strap — the conversation as to who really is the pound-for-pound best heated up.

Arguments can be made on both sides, as no one has done what Conor has as far as holding two separate division titles. Meanwhile, “Mighty Mouse” has pretty much cleaned out one division and is one title defense away from reaching number 10, tying Anderson Silva’s longtime record in the process.

The UFC on Fox Sports crew discussed and debated the hot topic, which you can see in the embedded video above. Meanwhile, give us your take on the matter in the comments section below.
