The upcoming UFC Fight Night 103 mixed martial arts (MMA) event — which is set to go down on Jan. 15, 2017 inside Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona — is short one fight, after the previously-lippy Bryan Caraway withdrew from his bantamweight showdown against Jimmie Rivera.
Oh, hello John Dodson.
@jimmierivera135 I hear you need an opponent next week for #UFCPhoenix #LetsDoThis you in? @ufc @danawhite @seanshelby

More on Caraway’s injury here.
Winner of a 19 straight, Rivera (20-1) is coming off an impressive unanimous decision victory over since-retired Urijah Faber at UFC 203 a couple months back. Dodson (18-8), meanwhile, abandoned the 125-pound weight class to try his luck as a bantamweight, recently dropping a split-decision nod to the venerable John Lineker.
Rivera vs. Dodson … who wants it?
