Michael Bisping and Tyron Woodley have called for a catchweight bout, but ‘Big’ Ben wants to take both their belts in a handicap match.
The latest potential fight to make the rounds is Michael Bisping vs. Tyron Woodley. Both men kind-of agreed to a 180 lbs catchweight bout last week, and the two UFC champions recently went at it on Bisping’s ‘The Countdown’ podcast on Friday.
Bisping, 37, has been a huge target since acquiring the middleweight title last year and Woodley, 34, has been enjoying his time in the spotlight since capturing welterweight gold at UFC 201.
Whilst it’s highly unlikely that both men will square off in the Octagon, heavyweight slugger Ben Rothwell offered to intervene and challenged them to a ‘2on1’ handicap fight.
And he’s ‘deadly serious’.
Ok I’m deadly serious I’ll fight @TWooodley and @bisping at the same time 2on1 and take both your titles. Let’s all make money #ridicules

Rothwell, a veteran of 16 years, is one of the toughest heavyweight fighters in the world and has only been TKO’d once in his UFC career. The 35-year-old racked up a four fight win streak against some of the division’s best contenders but lost to Junior dos Santos at UFC Fight Night 86. Rothwell is currently ranked as the No. 5 ranked HW in the world.
Bisping defended his 185 lbs belt against old rival, Dan Henderson, in a five-round war at UFC 204 and is expected to face Yoel Romero in his next title defense.
Woodley, who retained his welterweight championship after fighting Stephen Thompson to a draw at UFC 205, has also called for a fight with Nick Diaz but is expected to rematch ‘Wonderboy’ early this year.
