Random twitter dude shuts down whiny UFC fans crying about Anderson Silva’s desired title shot

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight titleholder Anderson Silva, despite his legacy as one of the greatest mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters of all time, has enjoyed a love-hate relationship with his employer.

Jackassery, massive fines, mistreatment … the works.

But even with his spotty history, Silva may have built a solid case for an interim title shot while reigning middleweight kingpin, Michael Bisping, is off making super fights with welterweight import Georges St-Pierre.

Random twitter dude explains why:

People complaining Silva asking for INTERIM title shot coming off 1 win. Fighters that got a title shot coming off a loss.#randomstat #UFC pic.twitter.com/KTr0y5RxTD

Welcome to prizefighting.

Silva (34-8, 1 NC) has just one win across a span of nearly five years, a questionable decision over Derek Brunson at the UFC 208 pay-per-view (PPV) event back in February. While there are plenty of contenders in front of him (like this guy), “The Spider” can puts butts in seats.

And it just so happens a certain “Soldier of God” is also looking for a title shot.

Your move, UFC.
