Video: Cris Cyborg punches Angela Magana at UFC fighter retreat, leading to citation for battery

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held a special fighter retreat last weekend (video) to help bridge the gap between the athletes and the suits in the corporate office.

As you might expect, not everything went according to plan. One fighter had to be removed from the proceedings — because of this — while two others decided to settle their beef in the street.

And by “settle their beef” I mean Cristiane Justino decked Angela Magana for posting some funny memes online. You can read our original report on the Brazilian’s hit-and-run right here.

From TMZ:

Cops say Magana — a 33 year old UFC strawweight — transported herself to the hospital and was treated for a laceration to the inside of her lip. A.M. told police that doctors at the hospital diagnosed her with an “acute head injury” and “cervical strain.”

Justino has been cited for battery and will be forced to appear in court.

“Cyborg” was expected to fight for the newly-created featherweight title earlier this year; however, her recovery from a difficult weigh cut kept her benched. Now she’s back and looking for violence in all the wrong places.

Not that it means anything to the UFC brass.
