Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is all set to uncork the UFC 212: “Aldo vs. Holloway” pay-per-view (PPV) event, taking place on Sat., June 3, 2017, inside Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
UFC 212 will be headlined by the title unification bout pitting featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo against interim champion Max Holloway. In the women’s strawweight co-main event, No. 1-ranked Claudia Gadelha and No. 2-ranked Karolina Kowalkiewicz collide to see who stays alive in the division title race.

Carlos falls back for the heel hook, can’t get it. Spicely still looking for the leglock as well. Carlos gets his leg out and stands, shooting in with a minute to go. Spicely tries to counter, but winds up giving up his back. Carlos with the body triangle, looking for the choke until the bell. 10-9 Carlos Junior.

Round 1: Early leg kick from Eduardo, then a heavy counter right that backs Lopez off. Overhand left by the American. Hard leg kick lands for Eduardo. They trade their power hands a minute in, Lopez blasts him with a straight left. Body kick from Eduardo. Eduardo fires another leg kick and Lopez takes him down. Eduardo looks for a leg as Lopez hammers him with shots. Hammerfists and elbows two minutes in. Heavy ground-and-pound from Lopez. Eduardo is getting clobbered and Mario Yamasaki steps in way too late.
Final result: Lopez def. Eduardo by TKO (punches)
135 lbs.: Iuri Alcantara vs. Brian Kelleher
Round 1: 1-2 from Alcantara, body kick and straight left afterwards. Alcantara counters a low kick with a left hand to knock him over. Flurry upstairs. Body kick lands a minute in. Kelleher throwing with him, catches a low kick and just misses with a spinning back fist. Good right hand by Kelleher, who latches onto a guillotine as Alcantara shoots in and draws an immediate tap.
Final result: Kelleher def. Alcantara by submission (guillotine choke)
115 lbs.: Jamie Moyle vs. Viviane Pereira
Round 1: Pereira looking for the right hand early. Pereira hauls her to the fence a minute in. Knees to the thigh from Pereira. Moyle tries to reverse, cannot do so but lands a knee. Two minutes in. They jockey for position and separate. Jab exchange, Moyle’s is harder. Two minutes to go.
Heavy counters from Pereira, then to the body. Moyle with a hard teep. One minute to go. Counter left from Moyle. Pereira flurries and ties up, eating a knee as she does. Pereira exits with punches. Pereira catches a body kick and lands another right hand. 10-9 Pereira.
Round 2: 1-2 from Pereira, knees from Moyle. Moyle shoots from too far out a minute in, denied. Jab by Pereira, left hook by Moyle. Hard counter right lands for Pereira. Moyle sending out front kicks. Two minutes in. Pereira puts her on the fence, Moyle reverses and lands a knee as they break. Low kick lands for Moyle, jab by Pereira. Flurry connects with two minutes to go.
More hard right hands from Pereira, pursuing Moyle. Body shot, then upstairs. One minute to go. Body kick lands for Moyle. Flurry exchange. Pereira catches a low kick and knocks her over with a right hand. Pereira standing over her, kicking at her legs and looking for punches. 10-9 Pereira.
Round 3: Jabs from Pereira, right hand behind it backs Moyle off. One minute in. Moyle looking for low kicks and jabs, eats a glancing flurry. Pereira’s punches have more impact than Moyle’s. Hard counter right. Two minutes in. Moyle enters the clinch and lands a pair of knees, tries to change levels but denied. Counter right from Pereira. Another right around the guard. She catches a body kick, can’t use it. Two minutes to go.
Pereira looking more aggressive, but eats a right hand. Counter right lands for her as Moyle tries to open up. One minute to go. Pereira working behind the jab, eats a low kick. 10-9 Pereira.

170 lbs.: Luan Chagas vs. Jim Wallhead
Round 1: Counter right from Chagas. Wallhead the early aggressor. Head kick from the Brazilian glances off, 1-2 does not. Thumping leg kicks a minute in. They trade low kicks. Good punching exchanges. Another leg kick by Chagas and a cross counter. Two minutes in. Right hook from Chagas and Wallhead shoots. Stuffed. Wallhead tries to spin, eats a hard straight left. Uppercut by Chagas with two minutes to go.
Counter right by Wallhead. Overhand right, Chagas lands a left hook. Wallhead with a long-ranged shot, denied once again. Front kick from Chagas. One minute to go. Chagas’ counters are on point tonight. Lead left lands, then a counter combination. Head kick lands for Chagas and he briefly threatens a single-leg. 10-9 Chagas.
Round 2: Chagas continues to pick Wallhead off, but Wallhead cracks him with a right hook. Low blow has Wallhead shook up for a second. Wallhead’s still game. One minute in. Chagas firing off stiff jabs, lands another head kick. More leg kicks, Wallhead counters with a straight right. Another right hand and now Wallhead’s fired up. Chagas shoots in and Wallhead presses him against the cage. Body shot by Chagas. Combination to the head two minutes in. They trade big shots. Straight left by Chagas, Wallhead catches a finger in the eye and claims he can’t see. He elects to continue and Chagas goes back to punishing his leg. Two minutes to go.
Wallhead tries to spin, just misses with a wheel kick. Left hook by Chagas. Again on the counter. Left uppercut. Wallhead throwing a lot, not landing much of it. More low kicks by Chagas with a minute to go. Counter right. Wallhead to the body, but he gets crushed by a left hook. Chagas follows him down and immediately transitions to the back for the RNC finish.
Final result: Chagas def. Wallhead by submission (rear naked choke)
125 lbs.: Marco Beltran vs. Deiveson Figueiredo
Round 1: Glancing low kick from Figueiredo is the first strike. Beltran advancing. Inside low kick lands for him. Body kick from Figueiredo and he shoots. Beltran denies it and presses him against the cage. One minute in. Figueiredo hits an inside trip into guard. Two minutes in. Figueiredo keeping him against the cage, eats left hands. Beltran with an elbow off his back, Figueiredo moves to half guard. Figueiredo clamps down on a guillotine and Beltran sweeps into guard. Two minutes to go.
Figueiredo squeezing, but the left side of Beltran’s neck is free. Beltran staying patient, works his way out with a minute to go. Heavy elbows by “Psycho.” Those look like they hurt. Figueiredo bringing his legs up, makes space and Beltran lets him up. 10-9 Figueiredo.
Round 2: Both men sending out kicks early. Hard low kick by Beltran. Again. Figueiredo waving him on as Beltran continues to punish the lead leg. Figueiredo rips to the body and catches a flying knee for a takedown. One minute in. Figueiredo in full mount. Beltran manages to regain half guard. Two minutes in. Figueiredo standing over Beltran, drops some heavy shots. He transitions to the back and locks up the rear-naked choke. Beltran survives, but gives up mount with two minutes to go.
Beltran trying to turn into him as Figueiredo threatens a choke. Back to guard. Beltran cracks him with an upkick and Figueiredo falls back for a heel hook. One minute to go. Beltran fighting to break his grip, does so and works his way to his feet. Heavy body shot by Figueiredo, then elbows and a savage uppercut that drops Beltran at the bell. 10-8 Figueiredo.
Osiris Maia doesn’t like what he sees in the corner and waves it off.
