Jon Jones calls out Brock Lesnar with fan made UFC poster

“It’s time.” Jon Jones posts an unofficial poster for his potential heavyweight bout against Brock Lesnar.

Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. used fan made posters to generate interest for their mega bout, and it looks like newly-crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is using the same strategy hype a potential heavyweight fight against Brock Lesnar.

Jones, who knocked out rival Daniel Cormier to reclaim the LHW belt at UFC 214, called out Lesnar in the post-fight interview. Lesnar, who is currently under suspension due to a failed drug test, told ‘Bones’ to be careful what he wishes for.

The potential super fight is far from official, but Jones is doing his best to drum up interest on social media, posting a fan made poster on his Instagram account.

Although Jones is pushing hard for the bout, the earliest Lesnar could return to the Octagon is Summer, 2018. The WWE Universal champion has been suspended for one-year and would have to re-enter the USADA drug testing pool – a process which takes six months – before locking horns with Jones.

Lesnar tested positive for estrogen blockers at UFC 200 and his win over Mark Hunt was overturned to a No Contest.

Jones, 30, returned to the Octagon in fine form at UFC 200 and appears to have cleaned up his act after several former run-ins with the law.
