Chael Sonnen responds to Tito Ortiz hinting at a rematch between the two

Tito Ortiz recently had neck surgery, and called out Chael Sonnen right afterward. It didn’t take Chael long to respond.

Anyone that follows MMA knows that Chael Sonnen isn’t one to ignore a challenge – especially when it’s a guy he doesn’t care for. Back in January, Sonnen was defeated by Tito Ortiz at Bellator 170 in just over two minutes. After the bout, Ortiz decided to retire (again). That didn’t stop Sonnen from continuing to take shots at Ortiz, and after a recent neck surgery Ortiz hinted that he might be coming back by challenging Sonnen at the end of an Instagram video.

“I’m alive. I’m fixed. Now it’s time to get ready, because Chael, I’m kicking your ass.”

Of course, Sonnen was quick to respond. And scored a couple of solid shots with two tweets in Tito’s direction:

Y’wanna send the twins up for a week or two while you recover?
They might enjoy some hot food & indoor plumbing….

Teets
I’m glad I beat you, but I regret breaking your neck
Glad you got it fixed
Please send me Dr. bills
I feel responsible to help.

I’m not going to lie, I laughed at Chael referring to Ortiz as “Teets”.

Sonnen (30-15-1, 1-1 Bellator) rebounded from the Ortiz loss by beating long-time rival Wanderlei Silva by decision at Bellator NYC in June. He has been attempting to call out Chuck Liddell recently, but that doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen. So a Tito rematch might be the best option for Chael at the moment.
