Bloody Elbow is the place to be for live results and full play-by-play of Bellator 184 from Oklahoma.

Join us tonight on Bloody Elbow for live results, streaming video (prelims) and detailed play-by-play as Bellator 184 comes to the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, OK. The headliner will see Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas defend his title against Darrion Caldwell.

Main Card

Eduardo Dantas vs. Darrion Caldwell [BW title]

Round 1 – They touch gloves despite some jawing before the fight. Both men land some shots. Caldwell looks for a takedown. He lands some knees with waist control from behind. Big suplex from Caldwell! Caldwell continues to control position and Dantas can’t get away. There’s not a lot happening though. He can’t drag Dantas down either. More knees. Dantas keeps grabbing the cage and he’s getting swatted away by the ref. The ref finally separates them with 1:10 to go. Head kick from Caldwell. Nice combo from Dantas. A reaching left from Dantas. 10-9 Caldwell.

Round 2 – Caldwell jumping in but he’s out of range. He scooped a single super fast and dragged Dantas down. He again got waist control from behind and is looking to drag Dantas down. This time Dantas pushes him off quickly. Dantas with a body kick. Outside leg kick. Step-in uppercut from Caldwell and Dantas lands over the top. Another head kick attempt from Caldwell. Caldwell ducks a punch. Hard body kick from Dantas. Caldwell responds with a leg kick of his own. Short left from Dantas and Caldwell got hom down for a second. Caldwell hurt him with an elbow! Dantas is back up immediately though and he’s pressuring again. Uppercut from Dantas. Spinning backfist connects for Dantas. Caldwell landed a hard straight left thogh. 10-9 Caldwell.

Round 3 – Spinning back kick from Dantas. Body kick from Caldwell. Caldwell with a hard straight left. He shoots in but Dantas stays on his feet. Caldwell grinds away against the fence. Dantas pancakes another attempt. Caldwell misses with a crazy kick, Dantas charged in as he slipped, but Caldwell ducked under and looked for a takedown again. They battle on the cage again. Dantas keeps grabbing the cage. Body kick from Caldwell. Dantas misses with an uppercut. Dantas looks to spin around to Caldwell’s back but settles for top position. Dantas to side, but not much time to work. He gets to mount right at the end. 10-9 Dantas.

Round 4 – Slow start to round 4. Nice short left from Dantas but Caldwell got a quick takedown. Dantas back up but Caldwell has waist control again against the cage. Dantas spins to his back but Caldwell spins too. Now Dantas spins again and takes Caldwell’s back. Body triangle. Tons of time. Caldwell rolls into top position inside the body triangle! Wow. Elbows from Caldwell. Dantas s cut over the eye. Dantas back to his feet but Caldwell is on his back. Lots of blood on the mat now. Dantas looking for a standing kimura but Caldwell using the cage to defend. They separate and Dantas lands a shot before taking the back briefly. 10-9 Caldwell.

Round 5

Emmanuel Sanchez vs. Daniel Straus

Round 1 – Straus with a counter left. Sanchez with a head kick. Straus looks for a takedown but they end up engaging in a fun scramble that ends with Straus with side control against the cage. Sanchez looking for a kneebar. He’s already bloodied up too. Straus managed to escape, but it looked pretty bad. Now Straus is looking for a north-south choke, but settles for big shots from side control again. Sanchez just used the cage to reverse! Now he has a body triangle and he’s looking for a choke. Sanchez with a hard elbow as he transitions to mount. Great round! 10-9 Sanchez.

Round 2 – Sanchez has a head kick blocked. He stuffed a shot and ended up on Straus’ back, but Straus still has control of a leg. Straus pops up and sends Sanchez flying, taking top position. Now Sanchez reverses and works from the top himself. Sanchez is stuck in half guard, but then manages to defly move to mount with 1:50 to go. Elbows from the top. More elbows and punches. Straus is covering up but he can’t get Sanchez off of him. Hammerfists now. It looked close to a stoppage, but Straus survived the round. 10-8 Sanchez.

Round 3 – Straus with a nice combo. Sanchez with a jumping knee but got taken down. Sanchez got up but Straus took his back. Now they’re in a weird position. Straus has his back from the bottom but had no control. He jumped on top but Sanchez locked a loose triangle. Now he reversed it to the other side. Sanchez squirms to the side with it still secured. Straus taps, but the ref misses it so he has to verbally submit. Awesome performance from Sanchez there.

Pat Curran vs. John Teixeira

Round 1 – Teixeira misses with a big shot. They trade front kicks. Body kick from Curran. Macapa with aninside leg kick. And another. Curran lands a nice right, and another. Teixeira looks a little bit wobbled, but he’s firing back. Curran lands again. A left hook in close drops Macapa briefly. He’s still pressing the action but Curran is landing well. 10-9 Curran.

Round 2 – Teixeira with a leg kick, but Curran scores with a nice combo. Macapa looks for a takedown. He gets Curran to one knee briefly. They separate. Nice short combo from Teixeira. Curran missed with a knee. Macapa with a leg kick. Body kick now. Curran blocking the punches so Teixeira is eating him up with kicks. Jab from Curran. Two more leg kicks from Macapa. Another. Curran with a takedown. It only stayed there for 15 seconds or so. Curan with a jumping knee. 10-9 Teixeira.

Round 3 – Curran with a left as Teixeira walks him down. Curran looking for a takedown, and he gets Teixeira to his butt. Macapa got up but Curran drags him back to the floor. Teixeira gets to his knees but eats a bunch of knees to the ribs. Curran with a hard leg kick. He stuffs a takedown attempt too. Curran scoops a single and looks for another tiakedown. He tried to go underneath but couldn’t secure Teixeira’s body to pin him down. Body kick from Curran. Left hook too. Curran circling now. Nice right from Macapa. 10-9 and 29-28 Curran.

Pat Curran defeated John Teixeira by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-26)

Leandro Higo vs. Joe Taimanglo

Round 1 – They clinch up right away. The two men have been against the cage for close to two minutes now. They finally separate. Higo got taken down briefly but got right back up and they went back to the clinch. Tiamanglo with a pawing shot. Higo with a hard shot and a takedown. Tiamanglo got up after a while. Not much going on that round, but 10-9 Higo.

Round 2 – Nice Taimanglo short shot. Higo looking for an elbow. Jumping knee from Higo but he ate a punch as he attempted it. Higo with a body shot. Not much happening again. Taimanglo looked to bounce off the cage with a punch but was nowhere close. He has a takedown stuffed too. Higo with a nice combo. They clinch up again, briefly. Hard leg kick from Higo, and again. Nice uppercut too, but he ate a right from Taimanglo. Two more big right from Higo. They’re finally letting their hands go. Higo with an outside trip, but he can’t pass Taimanglo’s guard right away. They get up to close out the round. 10-9 Higo.

Round 3 – Leg kick from Higo. A lot of staring again for the first minute. Higo lands a glancing shot and a leg kick. Nice charging combo from Higo. Taiminglo responds with a right hook. Body kick from Taiminglo. Higo barely misses with a big right hook. Counter right for Higo scores. Taiminglo battles his way in but can’t get a takedown. Higo with a cup check and they take a short break. Taiminglo pushes Higo against the fence and squirms around to his back. He jumps on and looks for…something. He sinks hooks briefly but Higo sluffs him off and he’s back on his feet. They scramble and Higo ends up with a guillotine. It’s tight but Taimanglo holds on to the horn. I have it 10-9 and 30-27 Higo.
