TJ Dillashaw survives a first round knockdown to land a right hand of his own and win the UFC 217 co-main event via knockout in the second round.

Bad blood was the fuel of the UFC 217 co-main event fight between Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillashaw. And after all the talk and animosity, it was the former Team Alpha Male standout who emerged victorious.

What was the high point of the fight?

The entire fight was a fun one to watch, as both men kept it on the feet. Garbrandt closed out the first round with a right hand that dropped Dillashaw and put him in real danger of being stopped.

But like a seasoned fighter with great championship experience, Dillashaw composed himself and bounced back in the second round. Garbrandt’s downfall began with a head kick that he ate, and it was all sealed with a right hand from Dillashaw with a little more than two minutes left in the second round.

Where do these two go from here?

Garbrandt experienced the first loss in his young career, and he definitely can bounce back. If Dominick Cruz wins his upcoming fight against Jimmie Rivera this December at UFC 219, I personally would want to see a rematch between the two.

Dillashaw called out flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson for a fight at 125-pounds. Now that he has reclaimed the bantamweight title, he might just have solidified his case for a super-fight against “Mighty Mouse” and gun for a second world title.

Watch it now, later, or never?

UFC 217 did not disappoint, and this co-main event fight is another must-see. Watch it now.
