Video: Fabricio Werdum calls Colby Covington a ‘bitch’ for running to the cops after boomerang incident

After picking up big win over Marcin Tybura in the main event of UFC Fight Night 121 last night (Sat., Nov. 18, 2017) in Sydney, Australia, Fabricio Werdum took to the post-fight press conference to talk all things mixed martial arts (MMA).

After picking up big win over Marcin Tybura in the main event of UFC Fight Night 121 last night (Sat., Nov. 18, 2017) in Sydney, Australia, Fabricio Werdum took to the post-fight press conference to talk all things mixed martial arts (MMA).

Of course, “Vai Cavalo” couldn’t dodge questions regarding his incident with Colby Covington in Sydney, which saw the towering big man deck the Welterweight contender with a boomerang (see it all unfold here).

Thankfully, this time around Werdum opened up about he near-brawl and explained to media how it all went down.

“This situation, I don’t believe. Colby comes to Australia, and I’ve never seen him before. I’m just in my room with my coaches, ‘Hey, coach, let’s go cut my hair.’ So we went to lobby to ask for a nice place to cut my hair. When I go out, he (Colby) looked at me and he said, ‘Brazilian animals.’ I said I don’t believe this, and I just slapped his phone,” said Werdum during the post-fight presser (courtesy of Submission Radio).

“I just touched his phone, that’s it, man. And he kicked me. He kicked me, but I’m ready for the fight, I blocked his kick. And after that, the guys stand in the middle. And two minutes ago, I had one fan give me the boomerang. He then says a lot of things about my mom, my country. I just threw it. If I had maybe a burger or cake in my hands, I’d throw that for sure, but I had a boomerang,” explained the former champion.

Now, Werdum finds himself in a legal mess, as he is expected to appear in court in Sydney in a few weeks after Colby pressed charges on him. It’s a move Fabricio finds laughable, as he sees a professional fighter running to the cops after a scuffle as a “bitch” move.

“But nothing, man it just in the shoulder. This is nothing, man. How is a fighter going to the cops? The guy goes to the police for that. This is crazy. He’s like a, I don’t want to say the word, but he’s like a bitch.”

Is normal?

Still, it remains to be seen what — if any — punishment Werdum gets tagged with when he returns to “The Land Down Under.”
