Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is gearing up to touch down in China once again, as the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) organization in the world will stage UFC Fight Night 122: “Bisping vs Gastelum” on Nov. 25, 2017 in Shanghai.
It’s a fight that came to be after Anderson Silva — who was supposed to face Kelvin in the headlining bout — was bounced from the card for a potential USADA violation, which marks “The Spider’s” second transgression in the last two years.
No fret, as former 185-pound champion Michael Bisping took the chance to step in on late notice just a few weeks removed from his submission loss to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 217 in New York, City.
As for Gastelum, he looks to erase the memory of his previous bout, which saw him get choked out, as well, by former title holder Chris Weidman at UFC on FOX 25. Despite losing out on yet another chance to face one of the greatest fighters of all time in Silva, Kevin feels his fight over “The Count” is even bigger.
