It wasn’t that long ago when Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion, Max Holloway, told the mixed martial arts (MMA) media that former division kingpin Jose Aldo was still the greatest featherweight of all time.
He might have a change of heart in just a few weeks.
That’s because “Blessed” has been asked to run it back with “Junior” — on short notice — after Frankie Edgar was injured and forced to withdraw from the UFC 218 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, which takes place on Sat., Dec. 2, 2017 inside Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
More on how that transpired here.
Before they collide next month in “Motor City,” a rematch of their UFC 212 tilt, both Holloway and Aldo will participate in a special UFC 218 media conference call, conveniently embedded in the audio player above. The heads start talking at 5 p.m. ET.
