Earlier this year, there was some talk of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar making his way back to the Octagon, after an unexpected call out from ex-light heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones.

Then “Bones” ran into trouble with these guys and found himself benched.

If Lesnar is still interested in making his return to mixed martial arts (MMA), division No. 1 contender Francis Ngannou would be happy to fill the hole left by Jones, though fans should probably expect a very easy fight.

“I’d always like to see the match between me and Brock Lesnar,” Ngannou told Top Turtle MMA Podcast. “Two big dudes. I’m excited for that kind of match as a fan. I’m stronger than him. I’m the best striker in the heavyweight division and the more powerful guy. I’m also a talented guy and I will deal with that very easy.”

Ngannou (11-1) is expected to get a crack at the division crown, currently held by Stipe Miocic, after trashing Alistair Overeem at the UFC 218 pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend in Detroit, Michigan (see it again here).

Lesnar (5-3, 1 NC), meanwhile, recently wrapped his own drug-test suspension while wrestling for WWE and has not competed since huffing and puffing his way to a no contest against Mark Hunt at the UFC 200 extravaganza back in July 2016.
