Sengoku champ Santiago prepped for revenge, eyes potential return to Strikeforce

As 2009 neared a close, Sengoku Raiden Championships middleweight champion Jorge Santiago was on an astounding run.

With nine consecutive wins over the likes of Kazuo Misaki, Kazuhiro
Nakamura, Trevor Prangley and Jeremy Horn, Santiago slowly found
himself creeping into many MMA observers’ top-10 lists.

But this past November, Polish powerhouse Mamed Khalidov put an end to Santiago’s successful run. Now the American Top
Team product is ready to extract revenge – and he wouldn’t mind a
return trip to Strikeforce, either.
