An intriguing welterweight matchup has been added to the UFC’s return to Orlando.

Mike Perry and Max Griffin will both look to get back into the winning column when they meet at UFC on FOX 28. After a Monday report from BJPenn.com, both fighters announced the news on social media. The UFC has not yet confirmed the bout.

Prior to the report, Perry told Ariel Helwani on Monday’s The MMA Hour that he had just signed a bout agreement for the Orlando card in February. He chose not to reveal his opponent, only saying he would be facing a former opponent of Colby Covington.

Perry (11-2) is coming off a close unanimous-decision loss to top welterweight Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC on FOX 26 in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Dec. 16. Before that, he won two in a row, with stoppages of Alex Reyes and Jake Ellenberger.

Griffin (13-4) is 1-2 in the Octagon. He made his debut against Covington at UFC 202 in August 2016 and was stopped in the third round. He picked up his first promotional win with a quick knockout of Erick Montano a few months later, but dropped his last outing to Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos.

UFC on FOX 28 takes place at Amway Center on Feb. 24. No main event has been booked for the card. The most high-profile bout currently slated for the event is a middleweight matchup between former interim title challenger Yoel Romero and ex-WSOF champ David Branch.
