Prangley looks to finish Amoussou early, launch run at Strikeforce middleweight title

You’ll excuse Strikeforce’s Trevor Prangley (22-5 MMA, 3-1 SF) if he’s not buying into the hype.

Prangley’s opponent at tonight’s “Strikeforce Challengers VI: Kaufman
vs. Hashi” event in San Jose, Calif., Karl Amoussou (11-2-1 MMA, 0-0
SF), enters the contest as a much ballyhooed prospect. But Prangley, a
nine-year veteran, has dealt with his share of young contenders.

“I’ve fought a lot of guys that are really skilled, but I’ve always
been able to implement my pace and my gameplan,” Prangley recently told
MMAjunkie.com Radio. “I don’t think this will
be any different.”
