Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned to network television last weekend with the UFC on FOX 29: “Poirier vs. Gaethje” mixed martial arts (MMA) extravaganza, which took place last Sat. night (April 14, 2018) inside Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
UFC on FOX 29 was headlined by lightweight contender Dustin Poirier, who continued his ascension up the 155-pound ladder by melting Justin Gaethje. In the UFC Glendale co-main event, Carlos Condit was mangled and strangled by 170-pound “Cowboy” Alex Oliveira.
To help celebrate the victors — and shame the losers — UFC has released its “Fight Motion” video, showcasing some of the action in “The Grand Canyon State” in super-slow motion. Why? Because it looks cool!
UFC will come storming back this Sat. night (April 21, 2018) with the UFC Fight Night 128: “Barboza vs. Lee” event on FOX Sports 1, which takes place inside Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. (more on that card here).
