Bellator 198 comes to Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., this upcoming Saturday night (April 28, 2018), featuring a mouth-watering Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament showdown between mixed martial arts (MMA) legends, Fedor Emelianenko (36-5, 1 NC) and Frank Mir (18-11).
Originally, the streaking John Salter (15-3) was scheduled to join them for the night’s festivities in a Brazilian jiu-jitsu showdown with fellow Bellator Middleweight Rafael Lovato Jr. (7-0). Unfortunately — for undisclosed reasons — Salter has been removed himself from this weekend’s card.
Stepping in on what can only be dubbed very late, super short notice will be a former Salter opponent, Gerald Harris (25-5). Harris retired from MMA in 2014 — and apparently again in 2017 — so much like Ric Flair … never say never when it comes to making one more comeback. As a result of his late entrance into the card the fight with Lovato will now be contested at a catchweight of 188 pounds.
