Of course Colby Covington had something to say following news of Fabricio Werdum’s potential USADA violation.
On Tuesday, the UFC announced that former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum was flagged for a potential anti-doping violation by USADA, putting his reported (but not officially announced) UFC Moscow main event bout vs. Alexey Oleinik in serious jeopardy.
This is Werdum’s first drug test failure, and while there’s no word on the banned substance he tested positive for, that isn’t stopping Colby Covington from sounding off on Twitter.
Why am I not surprised that a slime bag like .@fabriciowerdum is on the juice and pissed hot?! You do the crime you do the time, you FILTHY ANIMAL! #NerdBash2018 #BoomerangGang

Covington and Werdum have quite the heated history with each other, dating back to a November incident in Australia, when Werdum threw a boomerang towards Covington in a confrontation, hence Covington’s #BoomerangGang hashtag usage. Covington would later press charges, and Werdum was ordered to pay a $600 fine.
While Werdum could potentially be sidelined for quite some time, Covington’s next fight will be for the interim welterweight title, as he takes on Rafael dos Anjos in the UFC 225 co-main event on June 9th.
