Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will make a quick turnaround for its FOX Sports 1 return, lighting up the airwaves with UFC Fight Night 131 inside Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, New York, which includes additional preliminary bouts airing on UFC Fight Pass. Headlining the “Empire State” fight card is the bantamweight grudge match between top contenders Jimmie Rivera and Marlon Moraes, with the winner likely to receive the next 135-pound title shot. Elsewhere on the card, Gregor Gillespie and Vinc Pichel collide for a spot in the featherweight title chase, while longtime veterans Sam Alvey and Walt Harris compete in middleweight and heavyweight action, respectively.
