Since the ONE: “Super Series“ was launched, many of the world’s top kickboxers and Muay Thai fighters have aimed up, particularly in the lighter divisions.
The promotion already has one Thai champion, with Sam-A claiming the inaugural flyweight Muay Thai belt in Singapore last month. He’s unlikely to be the last fighter from the Kingdom to win one of these belts because several Thai stars are on board and waiting to make their ONE Championship debut.
Yodsaenklai Fairtex, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao and Singtongnoi Por Telakun are already off to winning starts. Yodpanomrung Jitmuangnon, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Petdam Gaiyanghadao, Petmorrakot Wor Sangprapai, Sorgraw Petchyindee, Lerdsila Chumpairtour, Tukkatatong Petpayathai and Saemapetch Fairtex all await their promotion debuts.
Petmorrakot is in action next week at ONE: “Pinnacle of Power“ when he faces Fabrice Delannon. The Thai fighter, who trains at the famous Petyindee Gym, is a two division Lumpinee and Thailand champion who is currently ranked No. 1 at 140 lbs. by the aforementioned stadium.
Lerdsila will also be on the June 23rd card in Macau. The former Rajdamnern champion has been handed a tough test against Kaka Paeminburi, a Cambodian who made his name fighting at Thailand’s Channel 7 Stadium and is competing under his given name of Sok Thy.
Meanwhile ONE: ”Spirit of a Warrior” will feature several Thai stars. The card is set for Yangon on June 29th and sees Sorgraw face Samy Sana while Tukkatatong goes up against Panicos Yusuf with both matches fought under Muay Thai rules.
