Live, blow-by-blow updates for today’s UFC event in Lincoln, which is headlined by a lightweight bout between Justin Gaethje and James Vick.

Join us today on Bloody Elbow for live results, discussion, round scoring and play-by-play as UFC Fight Night: Gaethje vs. Vick comes to the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, NE.

The headliner comes in the lightweight division, where slugger Justin Gaethje will try to stay relevant in his weight class when he takes on the underrated James Vick.

Today’s event will coincide with regular Fight Night times. Live results and play-by-play will commence with the Fight Pass broadcast at 6:30pm ET/3:30pm PT for three fights. The event will then flip over to FS2 for four more prelims starting at 8pm ET, and then move to FS1 for the full main card which goes down at 10pm ET. The full lineup and schedule follows.

Cortney Casey vs. Angela Hill

Round 1 – Hill lands a right. She keeps up the pressure. Casey with a light left. Hill with a combo to a leg kick. They trade in the center. Hill goes back to the leg kicks. Straight left from Casey. Hard outside leg kick and a right hook from Hill. A right an an uppercut from Casey. Hill kicks inside the leg and lands a right. They’re really picking up the pace. Casey ties her up and looks for a takedown. And she gets it with 90 seconds left. A couple of big elbows. Hill looks for an armbar. Hill holds on and gets dropped on head a couple of times. Casey excapes and Hill gets up. Hill with an elbow on the break. Hill with a hard right. Casey fires back. 10-9 Hill.

Round 2 – Casey with a huge right as Hill threw a kick. Casey shoots in. Hill defends. They go back to trading in the middle. Nice wide combo from Casey. Another big exchange! Hard body kick from Hill. Casey tries to catch a kick but can’t get the takedown. They trade multi-strike combos. Casey with a big left hook. Casey ducks under and she’s in on a double – and she almost gets it, but Hill stays up. Impressive. Two minutes to go. Hill stuns Casey with a left. Body/head now. They get kick-heavy for a while. Hill with a right over the top and a body kick. Casey with a short right. Hill with a big elbow. 10-9 Hill.

Round 3 – Hill with a winging left hook. Another. Casey fires back with a right. Casey presses forward. They both land to the chin. Hill may have wobbled her with a right behind the ear. Low kick from Hill. Uppercut from CAsey in a combo. Body kick from CAsey. Hill with ah ead kick that’s partially blocked. Casey presses and looks for a takedown. No dice. Hill with a straight right. Casey with a nice counter right. Body shot from Hill. Casey with a low kick. Hill with a left hook. Tons of volume. Hill with a body kick. They trade lefts. Step-in knee from Casey, and al eft. Another. Hill with a knee and a big uppercut. Hill with a right. Good fight. 10-9 and 30-27 Hill.

Jake Ellenberger vs. Bryan Barberena

Round 1 – Ellenberger steps in with a left. Not a lot going on early. Barberena drops Ellenberger with a left after a combo! The Juggernaut is covering up but Barberena keeps up the punching. He lets Ellenberger up but drops him again with a right and the fight is over.

John Moraga vs. Deiveson Figueiredo

Round 1 – Figueiredo eats a low kick from Moraga. Kind of a slow start. Figueiredo with a front kick to the body. Moraga circling on the outside. Moraga misses with a left but scores with a big right that drops Figueiredo to a knee! He’s back up though, and got a takedown. Not much happening here. Moraga is against the fence. Moraga grapevines a leg as Figueiredo stands up. Figueiredo falls for a leg lock and they’re in 50/50 briefly. Figueiredo pops up and lands some punches to the back. I guess 10-9 Figueiredo.

Round 2 – Body kick from Moraga. Another. Body punch from Figueiredo. Figueiredo gets Moraga to his back. He opens up with big shots and Moraga is cut. More works from Figueiredo. Moraga gets back up but Figueiredo drops him with a left! Moraga pops back up and they threw some more. Finally Figueiredo just destroys him with a left and Moraga goes down once again. It’s over this time.

Eryk Anders vs. Tim Williams

Round 1 – Body kick from Williams. Anders lands to the body, Williams jabs back. Head kick from Williams only partially blocked. Anders is walking him down but not throwing. They clinch and Anders lands a knee to the body. Willians gets underhooks but Anders separates. Short left from Williams. Anders really isn’t doing much, just trying to lands a big left. Williams with his own left. Bodyk ick from Williams, and a front kick. An inside leg kick knocks Anders off balance. Nice combo from Williams. Body kick from Anders gets caught and Williams dumps him to the mat. He takes his back before the horn. 10-9 Williams.

Round 2 – Anders immediately ups his pace in round two, but runs into a shot from Williams. Inside leg kick from Williams. Anders wades in and Williams clinches. Williams slams him down to the mat. Anders up quickly. He lands a big left. He lands it again, and again. He just misses with a huge head kick. Uppercut and straight left scores. Williams is cut under the eye. Uppercut again. Anders is taking over. Williams ducks under and is in deep on a double, but can’t turn the corner. Williams just lays on his back with Anders over him. Anders jumps in, ,then back out. Williams up and they both land big shots. Anders scores again. Right uppercut from Anders, and two lefts and a knee. Williams circles out. Williams slips a left in. Anders with two more lefts. Williams fires back. 10-9 Anders.

Round 3 – Slow start. Anders lands a huge left as Williams thows a kick and he goes down! Williams gets back up as Anders won’t engage him on the floor. He seems to have his wits about him. Leg kick by Williams. Another left by Anders. Williams lands his own hard left. Body kick by Williams. Williams with another lazy kick and he gets clipped for it. Williams ducks under and had Anders dead to rights to put him on the floor, and somehow Anders fought him off. That was pretty impressive. They both lands lefts. One minute to go. Anders with a straight left. Williams with a huge spinning back fist! Anders lands a huge left and floors Williams again! Williams tries to get back up and Anders destroys him with a kick that knocks him out. He had one hand down, but it’s up before the kick lands. WOW. That was ridiculous.

James Krause vs. Warlley Alves

Round 1 – Krause looks for a takedown but can’t get anywhere. He tries again with a trip against the cage but no dice. They reverse positions against the cage afew times. They separate with three minutes to go. Krause tries a weird jumping kick and just gets thrown to the ground Alves won’t join him there though. Straight left from Krause. Jabs as well. Right from Alves. Right over the top from Krause. He’s not putting everything on his shots, just a lot of volume. Very Diaz-like. Front kick from from Krause too. 10-9 Krause.

Round 2 – Alves with a right and he’s pressing. Krause slows it down by pushing Alves into the cage. Krause is cut from an accidental head clash. They separate and Krause hurts him with a knee! Alves staggers backwards and Krause lights him up. Alves back against the cage, just eating shots and not defending. He doesn’t go down but the ref calls it off, and rightly so. Great win.

Iuri Alcantara vs. Cory Sandhagen

Round 1 – Alcantara with a big shot and he drags Sandhagen down. He gets an armbar and Sandhagen is dead to rights…but he’s not tapping. His arm looks like it popped but he’s still going. This is gross. Hammerfists from Alcantara. His face is demolished and Alcantara is trying to adjust the angle. This is ridiculous. He reverses and escapes. Now he’s pounding away with the same arm from the top! This is crazy. Big lefts. Heavy elbow. Alcantara is trying to use his legs to trip Sandhagen as he stands over him. Huge hammerfists again! Elbows. Wow. Somehow Alcantara is still alive. His mounhpiece is out. Sandhagen to mount. More thunderous shots. 20 seconds left. Sandhagen may have punched himself out. That was a truly crazy round of MMA. 10-9 Sandhagen I guess.

Round 2 – Sandhagen comes out with fire again. He staggers Alcantara, who throws a crazy desperation elbow. Alcantara goes down and is basically turtling while Sandhagen pounds on both sides of his head. He really pours it on and this is over. Mercifully.

Cory Sandhagen defeated Iuri Alcantara via TKO (strikes), round 2

Andrew Sanchez vs. Markus Perez

Round 1 – They trade leg kicks. Sanchez ties him up against the cage. They jockey for position for a while. Sanchez lands a few shots against the cage. He tries to elevate a leg to get a takedown but there’s nothing happening. They finally separate. Perez misses with a spinning elbow and gets tied up again. They\u separate and Perez spins at the horn. 10-9 Sanchez.

Round 2 – Body kick from Perez. He lands a hard left too and Sanchez is begging off a bit. Sanchez fires back with a straight right. Perez spins some more. Huge left hook from Perez. Sanchez fires back and clinches. He lands a couple of knees. They separate fast this time. Perez with a hard elbow. Sanchez wades in with a kick and a combo. He pushes Perez against the fence. Perez tries a Superman punch off the cage but eats a left. Sanchez with a big combo against the cage. Sanchez clinches and brawls to the horn, getting a takedown at the end. 10-9 Perez I guess.

Round 3 – They’re active early but not landing anything of note. Sanchez goes to the body. Perez with a left. Sanchez with body work. They trade jabs. Perez hulks up and lands a bunch of shots. Spinning back elbow. Body kick. They clinch briefly. Spinning elbow from Perez. Sanchez pieces him up against the cage. He looks for a takedown but can’t get it. They brawl some more. Body kick from Perez. Head kick and back fist from Sanchez. Perez spins. 10-9 and 29-28 Sanchez.

Mickey Gall vs. George Sullivan

Round 1 – Gall coming forward and he gets a quick takedown. He’s got the back with hooks. Now a body triangle. He’s looking for the choke and he’s got it just like that. Complete domination.

Joanne Calderwood vs. Kalindra Faria

Round 1 – Faria with a combo and a double underhook takedown. Jojo almost sweeps her off but Faria jumps back into her full guard. She’s grinding away and doing enough to not get stood up. She is occasionally able to pass to half but Jojo is able to recover full guard. Calderwood finally looks for a triangle. She secures it. Elbows from the bottom. Faria trying to survive. More elbows. Now she grabs the arm. She tapped her just before the horn! That was beautiful!

Drew Dober vs. Jon Tuck

Round 1 – Tuck with an inside leg kick. Head kick is blocked. Dober with two hard body kicks. Another kick but Tuck throws a combo. Hard straight right from Tuck. Head kick from Dober is blocked. Right cross from Tuck scores, and a body kick. Dober with his own kick. Dober with a left over the top that wobbles Tuck a bit. Tuck ties him up and looks for a standing guillotine. Dober pops his head out. They battle in the clinch. Dober breaks with a hard right hook. They exchange inside. Left and a body kick from Dober. Hard outside leg kick. Step-in knee from Tuck and they trade hands. 10-9 Dober.

Round 2 – Inside leg kick from Dober is checked. Tuck with a body kick. Dober iwth an outside kick and a left. Tuck with body and high kicks. Both land hard to the chin. Tuck in on a single. He can’t get Dober down. Hard body shot from Dober. Dober shoots a double but ends up right in a guillotine. Dober eventually escapes. He’s bleeding, working from the top. He’s landing some lefts against the cage in half. Tuck gets to a seated position against the cage but is pushed back down. Now he’s dropping rights. Back to full guard. Dober opens up with elbows. 10-9 Dober.

Round 3 – Tuck with a hard right out of the gate. Dober fires back with a left, then a combo. They trade body kicks. Tuck with a knee. Dober opens up with a big combo. Tuck’s eye is swollen. Dober with a takedown. Elbows. The home-state crowd is chanting Dober’s name. Tuck is trying to tie up his hands. He moves to mount with two minutes to go but Tuck looks to attack a leg. Back to a modified half. More big punches. Dober’s grinding but he’s nowhere near a finish. Elbow. Body/head punches. 10-8 and 30-26 Dober.

Drew Dober defeated Jon Tuck via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26)

Rani Yahya vs. Luke Sanders

Round 1 – Yahya shoots but can’t drag Sanders down. Yahya with a reaching right and a body kick. Yahya shoots and drops for a heel hook. Sanders defends the first time, but Yahya grabs him trying to escape and improves the position. Sanders taps!
