Looks like “Rush” went to the Hilton and flashed the Brubaker ID.

I guess Nate Diaz didn’t feel like waiting.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, who also held gold at 185 pounds, is looking to add a third belt to his collection by dropping to lightweight and fighting the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor.

Can’t say we didn’t warn you.

But that would require “Rush” to drop some serious weight, which may be something the French-Canadian phenom is looking forward to in the wake of his disastrous trip up to the middleweight division, one that nearly ended his mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

Judging by this recent pic, it looks like he’s on the right track.

He also has plenty of time to get the job done.

Nurmagomedov makes his first title defense against McGregor at the upcoming UFC 229 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sat., Oct. 6, 2018 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada (details here), so a lightweight debut probably wouldn’t happen until early 2019.

Maybe we can add St-Pierre vs. the winner of Nurmagomedov-McGregor to this card (shades of UFC 100) and go for yet another industry record.
