Former UFC welterweight fighter is the newest addition to the Bellator roster of talents.

After an unsuccessful UFC run, welterweight fighter Erick Silva has found a new home. On Thursday, the 34-year-old Brazilian confirmed via an Instagram post that he is now part of the Bellator roster of talents.

In another report by MMAjunkie, it was confirmed that Silva had just inked an exclusive multi-fight deal. His debut fight with the company is said to be scheduled late in the year.

Silva (20-9, with 1 NC and 17 wins by stoppage), made his UFC debut in 2011, with a first-round knockout win over Luis Ramos. He holds a notable victory over Josh Koscheck in 2015, whom he defeated via first-round submission. He also faced other 170-pound standouts such as Jon Fitch, Neil Magny, Dong Hyun Kim, and Matt Brown.

Silva lost four of his last five in the UFC, before his contract with the company expired in March and he entered free agency. His last fight with the UFC was against Jordan Mein in December 2017, when he lost via unanimous decision.

His most recent fight took place in July at LFA 45, where he defeated Nick Barnes via first-round submission.
