A big-money title fight pitting current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier against former division kingpin, Brock Lesnar, has seemingly stalled … perhaps because of this.

But, according to Lesnar’s manager, Paul Heyman, there is only one major factor that will prevent the 265-pound title fight from going down: money. Lots and lots of money. Speaking to TMZ Sports, Heyman recently revealed that as long as UFC ponies up the massive payday that Lesnar demands, then there is no reason for the fight not to happen.

“As long as Daniel Cormier has the balls to step into the Octagon and put his title up against Brock Lesnar and UFC comes up with the money for Brock Lesnar, I don’t see anything that would keep Brock Lesnar from taking the fight,” Heyman said.

Cormier did his part to keep the potential blockbuster showdown intact a few weeks ago, submitting Derrick Lewis at UFC 230 in round two of their headlining fight (see it). And since “DC” shows no interest in granting Stipe Miocic another chance, the 265-pound king is now sitting back to see if the promotion pays Lesnar his fee.

Should the massive 265-pound title fight not see the light of day — whether it be for financial or other hurdles — Curtis Blaydes could be waiting in the wings for “DC” should he get past Francis Ngannou this Saturday (Nov. 27, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 141 in Beijing, China.

If not … there’s always Cormier vs. Jones 3?
