Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight, Rachael Ostovich, was allegedly assaulted by her husband last Sunday, mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Arnold Berdon, to the point where she was hospitalized with multiple injuries, including a broken orbital bone.
Not long after Ostovich was granted a temporary restraining order, which expires May 19, 2019, Berdon was arrested on charges of second-degree attempted murder. That said, a family member told TMZ that Berdon plans to “vigorously dispute in court any allegations he assaulted his wife.”
The injuries were severe enough to boot Ostovich from her Paige VanZant fight, previously scheduled for promotion’s upcoming debut on ESPN+ on Jan. 19, 2019 inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Berdon, 27, was last seen taking a unanimous decision win over Jeremias Fernandez at Titan FC 50 back in January. A timeline for Ostovich’s recovery has yet to be determined, but she remains home with family in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Berdon is expected to appear before a judge this week.Berdon,
