Check out the fight card for the UFC’s first show of the ESPN era, headlined by flyweight champion Henry Cejudo and T.J. Dillashaw.
The UFC/ESPN partnership begins Saturday, January 19th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. It’s an odd combination that we likely won’t see again, as the prelims will be split between ESPN+ and ESPN, but the main card will be exclusively on the ESPN+ streaming service.
Headlining this show is a flyweight title bout between Henry Cejudo and bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw. A “superfight,” if you will. The next biggest fights on the card are lightweights Donald Cerrone and Alexander Hernandez — they will be the ESPN prelim headliners — as well as light heavyweights Glover Teixeira and Ion Cutelaba. Joseph Benavidez was billed as the backup to the main event, and he’s set to rematch Dustin Ortiz.
The bout order is not set, and we should have 2-3 more fights booked soon, but here’s what is on tap thus far.
