The last Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) event of 2018 has been surrounded by controversy. Nonetheless, UFC 232 is packed with exciting fighters and match ups. The pay-per-view (PPV) main event is a long-awaited rematch between Jon “Bones” Jones and Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson. The co-main event is UFC’s first-ever female “super” fight, as Cris Cybrog defends her Featherweight title against Bantamweight champion, Amanda “The Lioness” Nunes. We’ve also got fan favorites such as Carlos Condit, Ilir Latifi, Chad Mendes and more!
Although the fight card is certain to deliver memorable moments to cap off a fantastic year of violence, it is the holiday season and money might be tight (or you might be boycotting UFC due to questionable decision making as of late).
For that reason, I’ve purchased the event and will be using it as an opportunity to do a radio-style play-by-play broadcast of each eye-poke, kick, submission, or decision that is hidden behind the $65 PPV paywall. I might be uglier than Jeff Novitzky’s attempt to make sense of the recent Jon Jones debacle, but during the entirety of UFC 232’s PPV main card I will be doing my best to keep fight fans in the loop on the, hopefully, phenomenal displays of mixed martial arts (MMA) starting at 10 p.m. ET in the video player above.
