WEC 49 in Calgary close but not a done deal for June 20
World Extreme Cagefighting is close to making its long-awaited Canadian debut, but the event isn’t a done deal just yet.
On Wednesday the Canadian site TopMMANews.com spoke to a Calgary Combative Sports Commission official who said the WEC will venture to the Alberta city for a June 20 event.
When contacted by MMAjunkie.com, WEC officials declined to comment on the possibility of the event. A source close to the show said the event is not official and that a date and venue are still being finalized.
