He’s also not a Tribal Chief, but that never stopped him from playing the part.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) could be saying goodbye to longtime welterweight fan favorite, Mike Perry, but before he goes, he’s got his eyes on a couple of “white belts” in the form of Mickey Gall and Curtis Millender.
Assuming either of them can be ready by May.
“So first Mickey Gall talks shit on Thanksgiving while driving his Honda Accord to his pot dealers house (illegal but they leave him cuz he smoke reggie),” Perry wrote on Instagram. “And the worst part about a fight with Curtis Millender is he looks at me like I’m a pretty white girl named Michelle.”
Perry (12-4) is hoping to rebound from his submission loss to Donald Cerrone at UFC Denver last November (replay). After jumping out to an 11-1 start to his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career, “Platinum” is just 1-3 dating back to late 2017.
Which is why he’s hoping to go out with a bang.
“It is not my decision which of these board the pain train I plan to roll in on,” he continued. “It is YOURS! THE PEOPLE! I was thinking a third mystery option rather than the two UFC whitebelts I just mentioned. Maybe a famous Brazilian out of respect for the country, the sport and all my jitsu brothers here at home. Can you think of who you would want to see me risk my beautiful face against in what could be my LAST UFC fight!”
Famous Brazilian? Jiu-jitsu? I’m thinking Demian Maia, which is probably a one-way ticket to the sub way. Unless you, the “Platinum” fans, have other ideas?
