Mike Perry recently took to social media to hint at the possibility of his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) career coming to an end after his next fight. And Matt Brown is ready to escort him on his way out.
“Immortal” – who has competed a whopping 24 times inside the Octagon — took to Twitter to throw his name into the hat as Perry’s next opponent inside the Octagon.
Hoping I’m ready by June or July

Brown was last seen knocking out Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night 120 way back in November of 2017 in what was supposed to be his retirement fight (see it again here). Opting to stay in the game a little longer, Brown was then booked to make his return against Carlos Condit at UFC on FOX 29, but ultimately had to pull out with an ACL injury.
As for Perry, he was last seen getting submitted by Donald Cerrone at UFC Denver last November (see it), giving him his third loss in last four outings. His lone win in that span came against Paul Felder, who moved up to 170 pounds from Lightweight to dance with “Platinum.”
A fight between the two would definitely have fireworks written all over it, and perhaps even tilt the loser toward their teased retirement from the sport once and for all.
