Heavyweight vet Stefan Struve picked up an impressive come-from-behind submission win versus Marcos Rogerio de Lima in the co-main event of today’s (Sat., February 23, 2019) UFC on ESPN+ 3 from the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic.
Following three losses, Struve needed the win and badly. It almost didn’t go to him, however, as de Lima came out smoking and dropped “The Skyscraper” early:
But he turned the tables with his underrated ground game. He locked up a tight arm triangle choke to get the tapout from de Lima:
The comeback win tied ‘The Skyscraper’ for the second most finishes in UFC heavyweight history. Then, Struve revealed this win may be his last fight in the Octagon, citing his heart condition. He wasn’t sure, but became emotional and said most don’t go out with a win like just got:
