Now on a three-fight win streak, Junior dos Santos is looking at a possible matchup against the heavy-handed Francis Ngannou.
After a disappointing loss to fellow former champion Stipe Miocic, Junior dos Santos is now on a three-fight win streak. His second-round TKO win and Fight of the Night performance against Derrick Lewis on Saturday caught the attention of fellow heavyweights, one of them being Francis Ngannou.
“The Predator” expressed his thoughts and sentiments of about the fight on Twitter through a single emoji.

“Cigano” was later asked about Ngannou’s post during the UFC on ESPN+ 4 post-fight show on ESPN+, where he welcomed the idea of a possible fight down the line.
“I think that would be great,” dos Santos said about fighting Ngannou (transcript by MMAjunkie). “It should’ve happened in the past, but because of something weird it didn’t happen. Maybe now it can happen.”
Dos Santos and Ngannou were first lined up to face each other at UFC 215 more than a year and a half ago. The matchup, however, was forced to cancellation when dos Santos was flagged for a USADA violation. He ended up being cleared in April 2018 after his positive drug test was proven to have been caused by contaminated supplements.
Ngannou, meanwhile, is coming off a big first-round knockout win over Cain Velasquez in mid-February.
