Live, blow-by-blow updates for today’s UFC event in London, which is headlined by a welterweight matchup between Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal.

Join us today (Saturday, March 16th) on Bloody Elbow for live results, discussion, round scoring and play-by-play (for the main card) as UFC on ESPN+ 5: Till vs. Masvidal takes place in the 02 Arena in London, England.

The headliner comes in the welterweight division, where the #3 ranked Darren Till will meet the returning veteran Jorge Masvidal. In the co-main, Gunnar Nelson takes on Leon Edwards in another important encounter at 170 lbs.

Today’s event is in Europe, so it’s on early in North America. The entire event will air on ESPN+, with the seven-fight prelims kicking off at 1pm ET/10am PT. The six-fight main card, for which play-by-play will be provided, kicks off at 4pm ET/1pm PT.

Danny Roberts vs. Claudio Silva

Silva opens the fight with a thudding leg kick. Southpaw cross lands for Silva followed by a botched takedown attempt. A set of leg kicks hit their mark for Silva. Roberts gives up the takedown. Roberts ties up his opponent. Silva works to pass into full mount. Silva achieves mount but switches to side control. Roberts attempts to scramble but Silva maintains control. Roberts regains half guard. Silva takes full mount and locks up an arm triangle. Roberts escapes and takes top position. A couple of ground punches land for Roberts before the bell sounds.

Round 2-

An overhand left rocks Silva right away. Silva reacts by blasting a takedown up against the cage. Silva takes the full mount and solidifies the position. During a scramble, the referee stops the action to warn the fighters about putting their toes in the cage. Roberts exposes his back. Silva locks up an arm triangle again and Roberts escapes again. Roberts stands to his feet and starts connecting with set of punches. Left knee to the body scores for Roberts followed by a flurry of punches. Silva again gets the takedown up against the cage. Silva takes the back and rolls for a triangle. Roberts escapes back to his feet and lands a right hand as the bell sounds.

Round 3-

Roberts rocks his foe again to open up the final round. From top position, Roberts chips away with strikes. Silva rolls for a leg, attacking a heel hook. Roberts squirms and frees himself. From his guard, Silva locks up an armbar. Roberts spikes his opponent but can’t get out of the hold. The referee steps in and stops the fight from what looks like a verbal tap.

  • Jack Marshman vs. John Phillips

Round 1-

Phillips presses forward with a haymaker and presses Marshman up against the cage. Right knee to the stomach lands, and then a weaker one. Marshman escapes to open space. Leg kick scores for Phillips. Right cross from Marshman. Lead hook connects for Phillips. In the clinch, a right uppercut landed for Phillips. A massive right hand send Marshman flying to the floor. Phillips allows Marshman to stand up. A set of jab feints sets up a Phillips right hand. Head kick from Marshman followed by a right hand. Leg kick scores for Phillips. A left-right hook combo lands for Marshman. Massive hook misses for Phillips.

Round 2-

Lead hook misses for Phillips. Marshman pumps the jab to get some space. Lead leg kick again counts for Phillips. Marshman puts a right hand behind a jab. Two right hands to the head land for Phillips as they collided together. Southpaw cross hits it mark for Phillips. A one-two misses for Marshman. A clean body kick to hook combo knocked down Phillips. Phillips responds with a left hand and gets clipped with a right from Marshman. A jab from Phillips is countered with a right cross from Marshman. Marshman lands a left hook to the body. Jab misses for Phillips but the follow up blow to the body scores. Phillips misses a hook and Marshman lands two of his own. Phillips encourages Marshman to brawl in the final ten seconds to no avail.

Round 2-

Marshman launches a body kick that connects. Jab stops Phillips from advancing momentarily. Right cross misses for Marshman as he backpedals. A right cross misses but a jab connects for Marshman. A heavy overhand left barely misses for Phillips. A one-two misses for Phillips. Body cross followed by left hand to face gets the attention of Marshman. Phillips pressures forward trying to cut off the Octagon. A set of leg kicks land for Marshman. Phillips returns one of his own. They begin to trade in front of one another. Swapping hooks, both men throw with bad intentions as the round comes to a close.
