This past Saturday night after Strikeforce heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko had his fight stopped against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, UFC President took to Twitter (@DanaWhite) to blast the Russian and his management. White had a lengthy battle of trash talk with Fedor supporters and haters throughout the evening.
Now just a couple of days after, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker sat down on The MMA Hour with host Ariel Helwani (@MMAFighting.com) to discuss Saturdays show, of course one subject to come up was Coker’s thoughts on the UFC President’s Twitter posts.
“At least the guy’s watching, right? He’s watching Strikeforce. As long as he wants to keep watching Strikeforce that’s a good thing. I respect Dana and what he’s done,” Coker said. “Their success is great and our success is great, too.”
It’s probably best that Coker took the high road in the situation, when one of your biggest stars just got handed a devastating loss it’s probably not wise to trade shots with the top promotion.
