Tony Ferguson has issued a statement thanking the UFC and his management for their support during his ongoing personal troubles.

After news broke last week that Tony Ferguson was having some personal issues at home that ended with his wife filing a restraining order, the former interim UFC lightweight champ has issued a statement saying the UFC and his management is getting him the help they need.

Ferguson has been very active on social media since the news broke, thanking his fans and those who have supported him for their kind words. Even former lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor was vocal on Twitter recently, sharing his support for “El Cucuy.”

The 35-year-old issued a statement on Saturday thanking the UFC and his management for support.

“Thank you all for the great support!” Ferguson said. “I’m in a great spirits, UFC & Management are helping me find the help we need. I’m getting all of your messages, keep em’ coming!!! Thank you very much for the kind words, my family & team appreciates it. Lots of Love my Social Media Fam, keep the Faith couldn’t do this sh– without you- Champ Batting Clean Up.”

Ferguson (24-3) is currently on an eleven-fight winning streak in the UFC, with his most recent victory coming against Anthony Pettis at UFC 229 in October 2018.
