The strange event took place last week in Krasnoyarsk and was documented thoroughly on social media.
The vast Russian province of Siberia hosted an unorthodox ‘slapping championship’ event this past weekend that saw one of the competitors knocked out with a single slap.
The strange event, which took place in Krasnoyarsk, featured a handful of competitors lining up on opposite sides of a podium to take turns slapping each other in the face until one surrenders. The contestants being slapped were not allowed to block the opponent’s strikes of move out of the way.
Video footage from the event spread like wildfire across Russian social media, particularly of a contest that saw a large bearded man knock his opponent out with a single slap.

According to reports, the slapping championships was part of a two-day extravaganza that also featured a “mass wrestling” event and pole dancing.
The winner of the slapping contest was Vasily Pelmen, a 370-pound man whose last name translates to “dumpling.” Pelmen was awarded 30,000 rubles in prize money (approx. $460 USD)
