Professional fighters react to the news of T.J. Dillashaw’s failed drug test and suspension.
It hasn’t been the best start to the year for former two-time UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw.
Just two months after his knockout loss to Henry Cejudo at UFC Fight Night 143, Dillashaw tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and has been suspended for one year by the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC).
Dillashaw, 33, announced that he has voluntarily relinquished his bantamweight title and claims to be investigating his failed drug test. As of yet, it hasn’t been revealed what substance the former Team Alpha Male fighter tested positive for.
Dillashaw’s failed drug test came as a shock to the MMA community, and plenty of pro fighters reacted to the news on social media.

Mr. Faber himself told me in person once that his former team mate abuses from substances and of course other members that we know as well.

If UFC will ask me to fight for the vacated title tomorrow I will agree without a doubt in my mind and I don’t care who will be my opponent. I want that belt!

While the specifics of Dillashaw’s positive test haven’t been revealed, ex-teammate turned bitter rival Cody Garbrandt accused TJ of using performance-enhancing drugs back in 2017, claiming that the Colorado-based fighter showed everyone at Team Alpha Male how to use them.
“Oh yea, the guys on everything,” Garbrandt said at the UFC 217 pre-fight press conference. “He’s on everything. You’re the one that showed everyone how to do it on Team Alpha Male. Look at him, he has nothing to say.”
