New video footage has emerged of the scuffle between Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman.
Last month, video footage was released of a brawl between UFC welterweights Colby Covington and Kamaru at a casino buffet in Las Vegas. Usman’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, even tried to throw a punch, but it wasn’t clear who instigated the attack.
In a new video released by TMZ Sports, however, it’s clear to see Abdelaziz initially confront Covington while Usman tries to hold him back.
Check out the video below.
Usman, Covington, and Abdelaziz were all banned from the casino following the skirmish.
The scuffle broke out shortly after Usman’s stunning upset win over long-reigning welterweight champion Tyron Woodley at UFC 235, which saw ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ dominate ‘T-Wood’ enroute to a unanimous decision win in the co-main event.
It’s expected that Usman’s first title defense will be against Covington, although the fight hasn’t been officially announced. Covington, 31, last fought at UFC 225, where he beat former lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos to win the interim welterweight title.
‘Chaos’ was originally expected to take on Woodley in a title unification bout, but Usman got the title shot instead. Covington is no longer listed as the interim champ and is ranked at No. 2 in the official UFC welterweight rankings.
