I didn’t watch WrestleMania last night because I was too busy cleaning the blood (and broken glass) from my blazer after the Capitol Wrestling death match on Sunday afternoon in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey.
That means I can’t tell you from my perspective if the Ronda Rousey match, or at least its finish, was “botched” during the final count. For those of you combat sports snobs who don’t follow pro wrestling, a botch is something unscripted or unplanned and usually categorized as a mistake.

What I can tell you is that those reporters on the ground in “The Garden State,” like longtime WWE insider Dave Meltzer, have brought word that “Rowdy” suffered a broken hand and will not be able to perform for several months.
The good news for bookers tasked with keeping the creative assembly line moving, Rousey — despite a three-year contract — was already expected to disappear from television after a solid year of sports entertainment tomfoolery.
I’m sure we’ll hear more at her final advertised appearance during Monday Night RAW later this evening, though I find it interesting that Rousey suffered her most debilitating injury while competing in a (cough) “fake” sport.
Which often has real MMA fighters throwing real punches.
