We’re still a few month away from the super-stacked UFC 239 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is set to go down inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 6, 2019, but Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is wasting no time in hyping up the event.
Probably because tickets are on sale NOW!
Headlining the card is a Light Heavyweight title fight between division champion Jon Jones defending his belt against hard-hitting Thiago Santos. The fight will be Jon’s third championship bout in eight months, most recently defeating Anthony Smith at UFC 235 just last month. As for Thiago, this will be his first crack at UFC gold after running through his opponents in extremely violent fashion (evidence here).
In the co-main event, Amanda Nunes will look to continue her run against former UFC champions as she defends her women’s Bantamweight strap against ex-titleholder, Holly Holm. Meanwhile, Junior dos Santos and Francis Ngannou will collide in a hard-hitting Heavyweight showdown, while Jorge Masvidal and Ben Askren hook ‘em up in what should be a highly-intriguing Welterweight scrap.
For extra flavor, Luke Rockhold will face Jan Blachowicz in his first fight at 205 pounds, while Diego Sanchez and Michael Chiesa will collide in main card action. Indeed, the card is shaping up to be the most stacked event of the year.
